This 1960s Sharene Creations dress is cut in a figure hugging sheath design and features a mid century abstract pattern of mottled greys, blues and browns in a painterly style print. It has a high, softly rounded neckline to the front and a cutout lower back which is contoured and finished with a set of four fabric covered buttons which highlight the lower back. Below these buttons there is a central, hidden zipper fastening and either side are two fan-shaped tail trains which fall to the bottom hem and lend a more formal look to the dress.
Lined in a near black fine silk organza throughout; this is a quality made dress in wonderful vintage condition with no faults to note. On very close inspection, the front vertical princess seams have been let out between the high and low waist point only; I almost didn't spot this as it has been very well done and is virtually unnoticeable. This of course could be reversed if needed. As it is, it would best fit up to a size UK 10 or US 6. Our model (5ft 11in. / 180cm) is a UK 8-10 and this dress fit her well.
